Mitchell A. Robinson
Attorney & Founder
Attorney Mitch Robinson grew up in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School as the Salutatorian of the Class of 2006. In 2011, he graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in English literature. During his undergraduate years, he published literary criticism on the works of Thomas Hardy and served a church mission in Fort Worth, Texas.
As was always the dream, Mitch next attended J. Reuben Clark Law School. In addition to earning a place on the Dean’s List, he worked at the Utah County Attorney’s Office, where he acquired a passion for criminal law and gained critical experience from the perspective of the prosecution that now informs how he approaches criminal defense.
In 2014, Mitch began his legal career in Colorado. At Anest, Swingle, & Arant, he litigated bankruptcy, HOA, and domestic relations matters, in addition to million-dollar contract disputes. In 2016, he joined Susan Fuller & Associates and focused his practice on divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, and adoptions.
After returning to Utah in 2021, Mitch served as the Public Defender for Orem with Stevens & Gailey, tirelessly representing hundreds of clients from Arraignment all the way to trial. For the next two years, Mitch continued his intense practice of criminal defense at Dexter & Dexter Attorneys at Law, where he won numerous first-degree felony jury trials and honed the experience and reputation that inspired the founding The Robinson Law Firm.
Practice Philosophy
Mitch takes a practical approach to practicing law. Every case is different, with its own unique challenges and goals. Good representation must start with attorney and client meeting together to develop a gameplan that prioritizes your particular life circumstances. Your input and recollection of events form the foundation of our strategy. Maintaining consistent contact is key to ensuring we stay the course and adapt as necessary.
Once we have a plan in place, we pursue it tirelessly. While only the attorney can make certain judgment calls about legal tactics, it is you who will make the biggest decisions. For example, only the client can choose whether and when to resolve the case through agreed terms or go to trial. With our invaluable guidance, you steer the ship.
A Will to Win
Our firm logo is inspired by Mitch's lifelong passion for chess, which mirrors his passion for justice. Lengthy litigation is not unlike a chess match between two skilled players. While everything may appear calm on the surface, each player is making countless calculations of the current position before executing their next move. Often several good moves are possible. And just like a chess match, every legal case is handled best by a combination of experience earned from past cases and the confidence to confront new problems with creative approaches.
Ultimately it is you who will choose the next move in your case. But you are much better off playing the game with someone who has devoted his life to fighting for his clients and helping them achieve the best possible outcome.
